I attended an excellent lecture on Laminitis Equine Metabolic Syndrome and how to design a diet at the RVC earlier in the week.

I learned so much and would urge anyone who lives within travelling distance of any of the excellent vet colleges that we have in the UK to find out what they have going on and sign up to attend these. There is normally a small charge (£10 for the RVC), but you get one or two excellent speakers and an hour or two of very useful and up to date information.

There were around 100 people who attended on Tuesday night and the vast majority thought it was a very worthwhile experience - I know as I collated the comments from the feedback sheets on the night.

For anyone interested the RVC have the following lectures for the rest of 2012:

Weds 4th April - Sight for Sore Eyes

Weds 6th June - First Aid and Skin Problems

Weds 1st August - Just a Cough?

Tues 2nd October - Back Problems: A holistic, practical approach to treatment

Weds 5th December - Practical Anatomy class

Lectures start at 7.30pm with free refreshments from 7pm. For tickets please call 01707 666864 or see www.rvc.ac.uk/cpd for details

PS. I do not work for the college or any vet but thought this was worthwhile to publicise

Completely forgot it was on and I was only there the week before with my pony with EMS! Such a shame because I really wanted to go....I'll buy a Diary!

Great. don't feel as bad for bumping this.
Wonder if anyone else has experience of attending lectures at other vet colleges around the UK

I heard about this, but there was no way I was hanging around till 7:30 after work :o I made my buddy go and take notes instead...
