Left lumbar pain

I have had regular physio for my horse and she’s commented that she seems sore in her left lumbar. Physio has never seemed concerned as sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not. I’ve just had a look through our sheets and sometimes it’s 4/10 and it has been 7/10. She has also noted that my horse has a right hip drop.

We had a new physio a few weeks ago and she noticed the same thing - left lumbar pain and right hip drop that decreased after the session.

Both physios have recommended heat, massage and stretches. Second physio said if it doesn’t improve by the next time she is out then she recommends getting a vet.

Not sure if it’s relevant, but my horse is quite short backed. She also hasn’t been lame or really displayed any symptoms of anything. Her canter has slightly changed recently to a shorter, more “uphill” canter (or its like she’s trying to canter sat more on her hind but is struggling as her front legs are sometimes a bit everywhere - she doesn’t do this when I’m not trying to work her in an outline) but we have changed her bit and that seems to have coincided with that.
