HI,

I am new to the forum and hope this is ok. I sadly lost my elderly hunter over the xmas period and have a box of Danilon "bute" left over and the vet will not take it back as I opened and used two sachets. Do you know what I could do with it? As I know longer need it.

Kind regards

Shirley

donate to ACE, no rescue in the UK can take it due to prescription only medication laws but Animal Care in Egypt are always grateful for any medication for any type of animal, they will take recently out of date medication too as it is so hard to finance the meds and get hold of them in egypt.

you can post tome and I will pass on depending where you are in the country.

If you want authentication that I will pass them on then pm me

I'd pass it on to friends who might need it, yes this is technically wrong, but I find bute can be a very useful tool in your first aid kit.

Shirley, firstly so sorry to hear of your sad loss and especially over Xmas, must of been so heart breaking for you!! As its individually wrapped in sachets, give it to, as mentioned, to charities or friends. I hate the stuff, as to it causing ulcers and other problems if used for long periods.

Hi Shirley, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I had a box left over from when we lost our old boy a year ago and I use the remaining packets for non emergencies with my other 2 and they have been really useful. If you still have them I would happily buy some from you . I did phone my vet yesterday to try and get a new box sent but our regular vet has left the practice now so not sure I am going to be authorised to have some just for when I may need it.
