Carried in straw bales to stable and string so tight had to get scissors out of tack room to cut strings. Put them on top of kick boards and thought to self MUST NOT FORGET them! Of course, made up bed and left them there. God knows why but woke up at 3am and remembered! Bloody hell, What a worry. All was ok, still there, thankfully I left them in Fly's stable who ignored them. If I had left them in my youngsters......well, don't even want to think about that. Has anyone else done something so stupid or is it just me? Talk about short term memory loss!!!!!

Hi, Yes i have done the exact same thing. Luckilly like your horse mine isn't interested in things like that, but as you say in a youngsters stable, god knows what you would have found in the morning!
I know i will never do it again.

Ouch, that could of been nasty! Glad everything was ok! And no it's not just you, we've got a ledge in our stables and I managed to leave an extremely sharp knife on it, after telling myself over and over not to forget it! Also managed to leave the scissors in my managers horses stable! Needless to say everything goes straight in my pocket now!!

I managed to leave a short handled four prong fork in mine the other night leaning up the wall near water bucket & bless her my mare, who usually thinks EVERYTHING has to be picked up in her mouth & played with didn't touch it !! That's what happens when you get two people mucking out together - I won't do that again !! Didn't realise until couldn't find fork next morning !!

I've left scissors in the bed before. I put them down whilst cutting off feathers, and only remembered when I found them whilst mucking out a few days later

loopyloop -Please tell me you dont leave scissors in your pocket ouch I nearly stabbed myself when I did that.We are all so busy multi tasking that these things just happen sometimes.

ooooh I never thought of that, thanks for the tip off!!

Used to slide them down the side of my half chaps but managed to dig them into my calf one day!! Why I thought my pocket would be different I don't know...........

If I leave things in my horse's stable he generally kindly drops them over the door for me...which can get a bit annoying, if I've only nipped to the store room to get something else. I'm not sure he'd manage with a fork or something large though!

I'm sure if I left scissors he'd manage some awful injury.

These things do happen when we've got so much to do - at least nothing bad came of it and you'll not do it again!

I left my little radio in Jerry's stable one night - spent the next three days picking up bits of blue plastic! He didn't just tread on it, he must have kicked it round the stable a few times first!!
We now have a music system in the tack room and speakers in the stable put high up out of horse's reach! How good is my YO!
