Hello

My chap has had a minor strain recently and, although he seems fully recovered, I notice there's a lot of gels and washes etc for cooling their legs after exercise. Just wondered what people use and why? Is it worth having some in?

Ta.

There is alot of brands about. Just be careful that they dont burn always patch test them and most of them need washing off after a few hours. I think the leg wrap boots are better the ones you put in water for an hour.

Been out this afternoon and bought a 'Mark Todd Leg Cooling Gel Spray'. Said 100% natural and doesn't contain alcohol so shouldn't dry out the skin. And it was £12 for 1L whereas the others were all about £8-9 for 500mls!! It says leave for 2-4hours and then wipe off any residue.

Taking my older mare to the beach a week on sunday so will give it a try then. Will it still work under travel boots? Or should I hang on until I come home to apply it?
