Right my boy got about 7 nasty slashes over his back hind legs over about 2 weeks, This was all in july/August. They were all caused by a little 3 year old pony kicking him!
Here are the photo's:

The vet came out and gave spring an antibiotic injection and sachet's to go in his food! A couple of days later his fur started to come off and puss started to come out in a circular motion and it looked like this:

To this day I still do not know what that ring was!
Also do the scar's look properly healed to you?? They all stand out quite a bit and thought they shouldn't be like that!
His ring has completly healed up now and there is no scaring from the ring.

Sorry about all the pictures

I hope someone can tell me what the ring is! and if anybody can tell me if those wounds are healed properly!

thank you

I hope to goodness the horse is not out with the three year old any more - they are nasty cuts! I'd say you were lucky not to have any more serious damage.

With regards to the round scar - if that is where the vat jabbed, it looks very low. Antibiotics are generally injected into the fat part of the rump not the top of the thigh.

Nope

But when I went to catch spring the last day it happened the pony kicked out just as I was catching him

It was bleeding like mad, but it was a fresh wound took him in and did the usual.

Spring and the pony always used to play and I think it where the pony's a bit crazy and springs more gental pony beat spring up

That ring looks similar to something a mare had here. She was sent away to be sold BLEMISH FREE. Didn't sell and came back 5mths or so later with bald blotches on her shoulder.
I was told by the physio that the patches were stress related, almost similar to you or I breaking out in eczma (but not as itchy).
From what you describe sounds like spring was getting stressed by the pony and broke out with that ring.
Sadly the mare here must have been soo stressed cos the bald patches never grew hair back.
Never will a horse be sent back to that yard!!

Contrary to popular belief ringworm is not always round!!! It has a grey stuff in the middle thats like fag ash... and it spreads very quickly.... over you as well as neddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YUM YUM!!!

To me this does NOT look like ringworm....would not like to guess what it is though, only what it isnt!!!
