Leg protection for horse with tenosynivitis

Hi

My horse has acute and chronic tenosynivitis. Just part way through his rehab and he needs to do ridden work. Just wanted people's thoughts on whether I use boots, bandages or maybe nothing? Do they cause more damage? Too much support? Not enough?

Any thoughts ideas etc more than welcome.

Is it similar to humans?

If so you would splint a hand, could you try bioflow boots to keep the blood flowing.
