Leg sore dilemma

Hi all,
My ID suffered from mud fever on his hind legs this winter but i have managed to clear all up except from one area on his lower hind leg.
It scabs up and with warm water and hibiscrub i clean them daily but it never seems to heal and is just a sore area which is not healing!

Could this be mites?? it cant be mud fever still as the ground is dry and the scabs are gone.

Any ideas would be most welcome!!

It could be struggling to heal due to the location of it...the movement causes it to keep opening maybe? rather than hibbi-scrubbing daily try massaging some sudacreme into the affected area... gradually you'll massage the scabs off to reveal nice soft healthy skin underneath.
