I've got a little yearling who's ex owners believe has plenty of bone or will do when older I'm looking at these legs thinking match stick.
at what point does the bone have full circumference (sp) to measure? Would a 2yr have the same as a adult? if a yearling has example 7inch would you roughly add a inch of half or possibly for the 2yr old instead?
just random wondering ...

You measure just below the knee for bone. Couldn't tell you about the age thing though. I imagine they'd be 'adult' as such. It's usually just the body that still has to fill out.

Most certainly not! Bone increases with maturity. Raj - as a 3 year old - had 9.75" Mature he was 10.5" (and he was a pretty mature 3 year old or he wouldn't have passed grading.)

Summer Song - as a yearling - had sticks for legs! When she graded at 2 she was a different horse. Measured at 9". She's 4 now and measures 9.75"! I wouldn't be surprised if she made 10" by the time she's 6-7 yo!
