Hi we are moving to Leicester work related and wondered if you you give me any advice as to areas would prefer not town area as we do have three horses and they will need to be sorted out too, would like to buy some land and rent a house or rent house and land together but understand thats like trying to get gold  if not would have to be a small livery yard.

So was wondering if anyone could give me some nice areas to look at please.
Thankyou :)

I have no idea but we like riding around woodhouse eaves area, Ratby I think on the map has bridlepaths, I think these are prob more loughborugh direction than Leicester. The website covering the forest in Leicestershire I think The National Forest has a good map and you can tick the horse riding box and get a feel for the bridleways and horsey bits.

Good luck in the find and move. I'm in Nottingham but enjoy going down the M1 a bit for what's on offer for horse riding so great you have chance to be in that area.. Mind you, all relative!

I'm in NW Leicestershire:) I suppose it depends on how much of a commute you fancy doing into Leicester really, but the following are all really nice areas IMHO:- Ashby de la Zouch, Mountsorrel, Woodhouse Eves, Newtown Linford, Quorn, Cropston & Swithland.
It's a lovely County to live in, very horsey with some of the best Hunting land in the Country:)

I moved away from there this week.. I was sapcote near Hinckley.. Good hacking.. Farm livery.. Not far from local saddlery..

Only moved cos I'm now in Devon with my horses at home..

I've lived in several parts of Leicestershire and its all pretty good for horses. It might be better to start from where your work is going to be and look for land/house on that side of the city. Traffic around Leicester is a nightmare.
