Would be really grateful for anyone's opinions on which of these two saddle pads would be best for a sensitive, high-withered TB?

Cost-wise they are virtually identical, so just wondering which is more recommended

Even if you don't have these exact pads, could you give me a recommendation on which brand is higher rated?

I've known products from both and both I like a lot (PE Event boots and LeMieux Lambskin Girth cover), but as it's for a Xmas Present I'd like to know which is better?

Much love and appreciation for any opinions!

I've got a couple of the PE techno suede pads and I've just ordered another. I really like them, they are lovely and soft and look smart, a couple of people at my yard have said how nice they are. They wash well too.
They are more like an Anky pad but with straps.
The Lemieux pads are not as thick as the PE pad but the quality is probably about the same for Lemieux and PE.
:-)

They are quite different what do you want the pad for? The PE one isn't as smart. I have never had any PE stuff, but have 2 lemieux saddlecloths and they are lovely. Really good fit and quality, though they are jump cut.

Hi,

I would personally compare the PE Techno Suede Pad to the Lemieux "Work Pad". I have had both - plus also the Lemieux "Prosport" Saddle pads (like the Lemieux Vogue Pad but with smaller quilting). The PE Techno Suede Pad is more padded than the Lemieux Vogue Pad.

Anyway, of all of the above, I by far prefer the PE Techno Suede Pad - it's a bit thinner than the Lemieux Work Pad but fits really well and gives loads of clearance over the wither - even after a fast hack, it's not even started to put any pressure on the withers. It's also lined with bamboo wicking fabric so the back stays drier. Finally, it's nice and easy to wash - I can't get the Lemieux Work Pad into the washing machine without scrunching it down so it doesn't wash properly.

The PE ones are sounding good then, as the ones she liked the look of were the Polypads (which these sort of remind me of) due to the soft thickness of them.

The pad would be for everyday riding, with the possibility of being taken to local unaff Dressage comps.

The main reason I'm asking is because obviously I don't want to get her a saddle pad that's likely to slip or twist, hence wanting to know which is better quality :)

Another vote for the PE then, sounding good! Just kicking myself that I didn't think of it yesterday and then could have gotten that 40% dicount :(
Ah well, you snooze you lose I guess XD

Neither pad is likely to slip or twist as they are both shaped along the spine and have girth straps/loops.
If she likes Polypads then the PE pads are a similar thickness but nicer/smarter.

PE do 20% off on different products each day, these pads come up about once a week on offer.
If your on their mailing list you get emailed the latest offers each day.
