Hi
I took my 21 year old horse into the vets 2 weeks ago with swelling on the tendon, no lameness, has happened in the field. She was scanned and she has a lesion in the superficial flexor tendon. Vet told me to turn her away and rescan in 8 weeks (she cannot go on box rest anyway as she hates it and will just box walk and weave). I just wondered if anyone has any experience of this sort of injury and recovery time. Any sort of supplements too to help. She has Activet anyway, been on that a while. Just want some hope as miss riding her so much and she loves going out, we are just happy hackers, want her to get better and be ok, had her since she was 4. Any advice gratefully received.
TIA
Helen
