Well had my weekly lesson lastnight with my instructor and i am sooooooo pleased with myself had a brilliant lesson, i have never been really confident at jumping and since i have had my new horse i have only jumped him once.

But last night we was flying, we did a few small crosses first in trot, and then she asked if i would be comfortable in canter, bearing in mind i have never jumped him in canter. I thought what the hell and went for it, 15mins later we was flying over straight doubles 7holes up!!!!

I no it may not seem alot to some of you pro's but i was buzzing after the lesson was sooo chuffed!

thats great news. i'm the same but i've not done much riding the past 5 years. i used to ride racers and popped the hurdles fine but never found the guts to do the chase fences.
and as long as u and ure horse are enjoying it, thats the main thing. i expect to hear about u doing some show jumping comps in the summer! stick at it nd i'm sure u'll confidence will grow. keep us posted about ure progress and get some pics of ure 1st comp together.
 
Thanks for the positive comments, i was just really really chuffed with myself and him, he used to be a unter so he is used to it, i thought he was going to just take off with me but he didnt at all he really looked after me

That's great news! Nothing like a little buzz to boost the confidence lol
(Im a big wimp now about jumping too but I love it once I'm going round!)
 
I am a big wimp about it as well, i think about it all way way way to much instead of just getting on with it, but it was all so relaxed and calm lastnight it just felt right
