Was leading share horse out of the field today and we both got zapped by the electrtic fence!, poor boy got the brunt of it while I felt it go through my shoulders. Understandingly he leapt back and f*cked to the end of the field followed by the other two inmates. Unluckily I had the lead rope over his neck so it wasn`t dangling down.
Its my own fault, I ve been through that way before and thought it was unused, I tested the actual white tape with my hand and felt nothing then I took hold of the black plastic handle and got a zap.
Poor lad was a bit nervous while being ridden (just in the indoor, not helped by me whos heart was still going thump thump). He ran out at the small jump twice but we got there in the end, I led him over it to reassure himself (and I!), that everything was fine.
Oh, and plain and coloured poles are not his style don`t ye know...
