First off, had a lesson with Olivia Holohan on our Rich Rebel youngster, was going to take Jerry but I chickened out

This mare is very quirky as most RR offspring seem to be! but had a fantastic lesson, she completely changed the way I rode her and the difference was amazing, then had a jump and after a few threats we got what she wanted

She then gave me a lesson on Murphy our dressage queen

I have always found him lazy and hard work but she got me really pushing him and riding totally off my seat and the result was fantastic. She thinks my pelvis is out though after being on crutches for so long, which might explain J's one sidedness. Spent the day with her and learnt so much, it is her husband who is going to be sending me youngsters to bring on and event so was great to have time working with her. Hopefully I left a good impression

Then today took J for his normal lesson. I swapped my usual grackle for a mexican grackle and he is so much better, feel like I can really ride him up into the contact rather than having to constantly keep him under my thumb. He worked like a dream and only had a few tantrums.

Then gave him a jump and did loads of work on tight turns and shortening the canter without loosing the ommph. Not the easiest thing for Jerry and he was a complete sod but I felt like I actually rode him and got what I wanted in the end in what was a really difficult exercise for him

Sunday we are off to have a lesson with Lucy which I am really excited about, this week seems to have been the week of lessons!

Thanks for reading, wish me luck for sunday, am praying J is in a good mood

Good to hear he was lovely today but Jazzelle29 would say that, and I quote, >> horses can't really be "naughty" << so I'm sure tomorrow he will be just fine. And even if he isn't you'll cope
