well, I had my first esson with julian marczak. he is very nice and his yard is gorgeous.
Lesson was on lunge, as first few will be. well he was fab, did nearly all the lesson in walk working on position but I was allowed into trot at the end(apparently I am very honoured as people do not generally go into trot on first lesson -yay)
was still quite hard work but he was fab and he was trained by nuno oliveira (sp) so is into the classical riding.
can't wait for the next one

I have lessons with an event rider. We have had 12 lessons so far and we haven`t yet managed canter, but our canter is better because of all the work on the trot. We are now working on more impulsion and engagement, in the trot, along with shoulder in, and lengthening and shortening on a circle. Although it is going slowly, I`m sure that it will all be worth it in about 6 months time.
