Thought I might update on my second riding lesson (took a week to recover from the first) Cruel instructor had me lunging again for 20 mins (no stirrups) after my "core" had been strengthend we moved onto a different horse for pole dancing lessons
grid work I have now decided is not only physical but also mentally draining. I have learnt (well informed / whether I retain any of this information remains to be seen) that how a horse moves correctly over poles in different directions is dependent on my slight shifting body weight & miniscule movement. Squeezing, kicking & throwing arms is not permitted. In 6 years I may be able to complete a basic dressage test...
I conclude that for the last 30 years I have been a passenger / happy hacker & now I am discovering the
