I have had the most amazing weekend!
On Friday I had the pleasure of being taught by Ollie Townend!! It was amazing despite Andy being a total nutter, I've been saying how calm and well behaved he's been lately then on Fri he obviously decided to prove me wrong. :L
We started off by trying to walk and trot round on a fairly loose rein but this was all too exciting for Andy so we got lots and lots of extended trot and the odd yippee into canter. Ollie thought we were showing off with the trot but in all honesty I was just trying to slow the little begger down.
Then we started picking them up and were meant to practice our extended trot but Ollie thought it would probably be best if I kept Andy as slow as possible.
The first jump was also very interesting we turned the corner to a 2ft cross and Andy went 'woo jump' and galloped at it almost full speed so to fix this Ollie stood in front of the fence the second time and moved just as I got to it.
I would have felt awful if I ran him over but it worked in slowing him up sort of.
We carried on jumping various different jumps and combinations then we did an oxer with the front rail slightly higher than the back to get the horses to pick up their front feet, it was a good exercise and Andy was one of two who didn't knock it so I was very pleased with him.
After some more bouncing and generally being a prat we managed to jump around a course of fences and he was very good and jumped a nice clear, Ollie said I was dealing with his eagerness well and even remembered me in the demo in the evening which was also brilliant to watch.

Then to top it all off today I took Andy to Summerhouse for some bs and we almost jumped clear in the 1m if my sat nav worked
: but we did our first ever 1.05m together and he was a star and jumped a beautiful clear round so I'm mega chuffed and have finally got over my nerve of moving up a height. No video or pictures from today though as my mum wanted a rest.
Onwards and upwards from here hopefully.
