I'm based just outside Shrewsbury currently about 5 mins from Prescott Equestrian Centre. I've got a pony and a yearling and am desperate to get some lessons after 12 months out of the saddle!
I can't really have lessons on pony as he's not testing enough to bring my ability back up to scratch to improve me etc and I've got a yearling full of potential I'd like to be able to ride properly!
Why is it so difficult to find somewhere? I've tried all the local schools and didn't find them beneficial, the poor horses are just so bored?
Does anybody know anywhere where it's possible to have lessons on horses that are a little more testing, I suppose that's the right word?! Basically not a ploddy riding school pony - I know with the right rider they can go correctly but I don't have a hot seat and don't weigh a great deal so spend the majority of my lesson trying to get them to move forward opposed to working on my riding. So frustrated and makes me feel terribly messy.
