Let me introduce you to my new boy :)

Duggie, thunder, robin. wham (as in the band coz it's Christmas and 'last Christmas' is in the radio all the time' or Pogue (for the same reason as Wham)

I already have a Finnegan/ Finn! I'm listing all name suggestions. Owen is nice enough but it doesn't seem to suit him all that much, then again I don't know him very well yet. My Finn is a bay tobiano with long white legs, a white tail and likes to splash in mud; i'm used to fairy liquid by now :D should have bought a bay... or anything mud coloured. Haha I love Ronnie the Connie! Oberon will be his show name anyway so he may end up a Ronnie :) I will post some ridden pics of him in a couple of weeks when I can drag my dad out with his camera.

Riley and Darcy are nice, could be a good idea to look at his parentage and beyond, might give you inspiration, I have a connie called miller, his daddy was carraig Galen miller. My friend has an irish draft called ruairi, prounced Rory. Owen is really nice, abbyleix owen is a famous connie stallion.

Very smart! I have a soft spot for a lovely connie, especially a grey one. he looks similar to my connie (also 6 from ireland!) what is his breeding? How about calling him Blue?

Maybe Tomas or Gainsborough? Just thinking of his original name of Bluebell Boy - Gainsborough (Thomas English not Irish spelling) painted the Blue Boy. I tend to overcomplicate things :o

Now I have too many names to choose from :D he can have more than one name surely? Everyone is calling him Owen now, but I keep calling him different names :o Blue suits him, he will just have to have a hundred nicknames! Can't be called Callum, sister's ex ;)

I've found him to be very intelligent. He didn't know how to pick his feet up, so instead put all his weight on the foot I tried to pick up and was having none of it. Yesterday I tied a lead rope around his fetlock and somehow forced his leg up (with a lot of dancing around!) and gave him a carrot. Today I managed to get his leg up without a rope (with a lot of force!) and gave him a carrot, did that a few times. Walked off and turned round to see him looking straight at me with his leg up and his hoof almost touching his belly , waiting for his carrot! It took my other horses weeks to pick up their feet :o

He worked out his muzzle in 10 minutes, put himself to bed after 1 day (knew where his stable was) and worked out he could drink out of the hosepipe by picking the nozzle up in his mouth. Definitely got a character here :D

Cassidy means clever in Irish :-)

His face looks so much like one is used to look after, he was called Mac-showname was Whisky Mac (very predictable) but on his passport he had had a name change and was originally 'Steel Springs' which I really liked especially with the tendency the breed have to keep their dark legs and go white in the body.

I love him ! I miss having fun with connes ! Def going to be my 1st purchase when I get my own place just to have some fun with.
I dont miss trying to teach the irish they can stand on 3 legs, always entertaining

he looks v.nicely built proper conne , you have a good eye for a pony
