(Grrr 2nd time lucky - I just wrote all this pretty much but my lappy went
)
Anyway, I have been riding CC for about 3 months now - schooled a handful of times, had a few lessons off a friend and lots of hacking. When I first took her in the school, she was very heavy on the forehand and terribly lazy
She was very heavy in my hand, and she felt like she was always pulling me forward.
I have been trying to get her to use her hindquarters more, and to be sharper off my leg. Well my friend came and met me at the school today, I have to hack there which takes about 10 minutes. Here is the view from the road we have to hack along:

Across the valley (Porth Valley) is the Atlantic Ocean!
Anyway I started warming up, doing some walk - halt transitions, then moving onto some walk - trot transitions. I have been using spurs when I have been schooling, and she is starting to respect them
and she is feeling much more responsive.
My friend last saw her in the school about 6 weeks ago - and she said today that she has changed so much
How her head carriage is higher (It was waaaay too low before) and how she is much more active behind
I am soooo pleased! I trust my friends judgment and her opinion means a lot - so I am very happy!
Then my friend put down some trotting poles, then raised them, then we did some canter poles - flat and raised. CC was such a star
I love her!
Then I put my stirrups up and we started jumping
My friend out up a decent sized cross pole and CC jumped beautifully, then we did an upright a few times and she jumped that beautifully as well. I am so so pleased, I felt totally in balance with her and she really has a fantastic attitude for jumping.
I am normally quite critical of my riding, but it felt so right today and I am so happy!!
Until I got told off for using someones jumps.....well I thought they were for everyone to use! Oh dear, I better start saving for my own lol
Sorry for the self indulgent post, it doesn't happen often so you can deal with it for once
Here is CC enjoying her much needed dinner - she worked very hard today!!

I am soooo excited for the future!
I hope everyone had a good ride like I did today
