Lets see your clipped horses

Would love to post pic of my horses new clip, in fact was going to do a whole 'Mummy Makeover' thread on her as she is just coming back into work after having a foal & 5 yrs off.

Alas, am too ashamed, the clip, humm, it did not go so well........:(

Poor pony, its a blanket clip & bit wonky also she has half head clip and the line is not to straight.

All my own fault, I clipped her, bit out of practice :embarrassed:

Will post pic tomorrow, if can get one that doesn't look too bad! :D

Mine fully clipped, legs n all otherwise he is a hairy, feathery beast!

Sorry, no. I will post in 2 weeks when it's looking respectable. Imagine if you will a liney, patchwork quilt with a darker front half as that was clipped a few weeks ago and I lost the will to live before I clipped that to the same length.

JoJo_ your horse looks lovely.

9tails and ElleSkyWalker, i wouldn't be ashamed as i'm the worst clipper ever, last year i tried to do a trace, was a bit of a fail, hence why the pony is getting a full clip. He had a wobbly uneven clip for 6 months as he held onto it forever.....

I'll post my before and after photos tomorrow

I tried to take a picture today (clipped this avo) but my camera had flat batteries. I can show you one of last years clip if you like. BH is an ass to clip so they're never terribly neat I'm afraid.

Here he is

first clip of the year ( the weird line on his butt is where he kicked me and I slipped with the clippers as I staggered backwards!)

Well HollyB66 it's better than mine and I used to clip 20 horses three times every winter! I think that is pretty damn good for a first attempt :)

I would - but I didn't have time to take a picture (if I wanted to get him back to the field before it was pitch dark!). I didn't do it (wouldn't dare ) but he does look smart - excellent lady at the yard, does them all! If I can get a pic tomorrow or Tuesday I will put it up :)

My friend Laura clipped Dorrie for me Yesterday.
It was the first time we'd clipped her so we had no idea what to expect, fortunately she was an absolute angel.

Jack sporting his "bit more than a bib but not quite a chaser" - done yesterday...

First time he's been done since we've had him and I expected the worst and was very pleasantly surprised as he was a star!
