He's just about to have a 2 month break, and will be available to 25 mares (fresh) for 3000 euros

. Bet those 25 slots have been snapped up whilst I typed

. Makes Totilas look pricey if you ask me though... (Different kettle of fish I know I know, but Levisto does already have approved sons etc, just has been used extremely sparingly).

As far as I was aware he has always been available by private treaty, but does he not have OCD???? He is one that I adore but have always been puzzled by him as I know Z advertises that all its stallions are OCD free.....but not him.

I was under the impression he was only used by Zangersheide themselves, or certainly in recent years as his career's gone from strength to strength. I'd not heard that before, but maybe he does have a touch of OCD, which is why they don't market him like their others (it's not as if he's their only stallion competing at a high level is it?). I don't think they'll have a problem finding takers though do you? I really like the look of Taloubet, he is coming on well.

Oh I am certain he will have people queueing to use him. I know he has been available as when I was at Z last year he was paraded with the others and his stud fee was listed as being 3250euros by private arrangement. He has never been listed on their site as one of their breeding stallions as a result of this and so was only available via direct enquiry as they have always advertised themselves with the tag line 'All Zangersheide stallions are guaranteed OCD Free!' (looking at tagline nowin catalogue).

Have you seen the super offer they are doing this year on some of their frozen semen????

No, I hadn't seen him - is he retained by Zangersheide or is he someone else's? One young stallion here that keeps winning and has brilliant technique on video is Hunters Scendix, Stakkato x Polydor. I am going to make the effort to try and see him out competing this year, I do love Polydor horses and think he could be a very nice type for my 3yo mare. *disclaimer* I have said I'll never breed again......

I can honestly say when I was at this years Stallion Open Day Asca Z and Calvados Z were outstanding - totally out shone the others! Concord Z and Ultra Z show real promise for the coming years!
