Lice??

I recently picked up a lil pony, as to be honest felt sorry for it.
About a year old still in full winter coat ( though moulting slowly) very ribby.
Now on decent grass & having daily brushes but have noticed bold patches around eyes and chest, and tons of dandruff ( I mean lots, all over( which I'm trying to brush out, pony is itchy in certain spots when i brush/rub, but this could down to the winter wear & dandruff. I have been looking but haven't seen anything in the hair/bold spots.
Pony has been wormed. Is this a case of overly itchy causing these bold spots due to her condition or prehaps lice.

Sounds very much like a lice problem, I would treat as such in the first instance. They are very difficult to spot, a good way is to hold a hot water bottle on the pony's neck/shoulder fo 10 mins or so, you should then be able to see them.

Will do the hot water bottle idea and will treat.
Stupid question as not had to deal with lice is there other options apart from powder as with wet coming in I can just see it looking like a bad idea.
