Just been to Lidl and picked up a few bargains. Bandages only £6.99 for 4 so got 2 sets and headcollers only £1.99

They have a few other bits in like fleece rugs but too small for my big chap. Definatly worth a trip if you have a Lidl close by. Horsey bargains started today and think they are stocking them all week.

I hope they are still stocking on friday as I was wanting to go buy some bandages, headcollars and leadropes!
Didn't have time today and have my equichaps delivered tomorrow so I have to be at home

I've been as well - I am 'working from home' especially... got a grooming kit for my mum's horse, and headcollar, leadrope and summer sheet for mine... And a schooling whip as I'm forever breaking them!
Lovely stuff, and soooo cheap!!

Leadropes had all sold out at ours but headcollers are lovely for the price, they have black, grey and navy. Bandages look good quality too, the first half is fleece then elastic with velcro fastenings, I got a black set and white set

I got the bandages last time, and the tendon boots. It's a shame they didn't have any of the gloves this time...

The sheet will be a bit big for mine - she's 6' and I think they're about 6'3-6'6, but I think it'll be good as an extra layer in winter!

My boy also takes 6 foot rugs - I bought him a fleece for £9.99 last year and use it as a "dressing gown" as it's too big for stable use! As Gingermare said on another thread they really do dry horses quickly - the fleece is thick so the moisture ends up on the outside.

I didn't like the surcingle on the fleece though so use it "inside out" with the surcingle on the outside!

You need to go back to the shop - the summer sheets are also 155cm at the top, and it measures about 7' from buckle to the fillet string.
Looks like i'll be using mine over all her winter rugs to pad it out a bit... oops...

Yay, well I finish work at 4 so looks like I will be going back after all. And there was me thinking id missed out because they were too small. I did wonder why there was still loads of them left when they were so cheap.

The rugs are massive, they are just a fraction too small for my friends 17.2 ID x TB who is very hefty. I still got a summer sheet for my boy who takes a 6ft usually. He has a fleece from last year and although it is too big it is great for just chucking over him when he is damp.

i bought a fleece last year too but v big and gives him electric shocks when i take it off (v static)
have they got any non fleece type coolers?
off to have a look tomorrow, v exciting
