Does anyone have the insurance for life for their dogs.when I took Holly's insurance out I was looking at the life insurance, but thought it was to expensive. Would you change to this type of cover?

I would always recommend lifetime cover as opposed to yearly cover. I see so many animals that are diagnosed with long-term or lifelong conditions and require regular consults, blood tests & medication eg, diabetes, cushings, thyroid problems, epilepsy, arthritis, heart/liver/kidney problems etc the list goes on.

Look at vets medi cover. Very similar to pet plan but slightly cheaper. My friend who has had a lot of allergy issues with her Labrador says they pay out very promptly

would I be able to cancel my policy I have now and start with life policy.

I wouldn't do any. I have public liability insurance (essential for Horses and Dogs) and for insurance I would either a) put away the equivalent amount into a savings account or b) use an interest free credit card if I didn't have the money. The same goes for my Horse. I do have a lot of dogs but even if I only had one I'd do the same.
