My beige jods dont really fit at the moment (too many pies clearly) so I always wear my light grey jods for show jumping etc. Would I get away with them for a working hunter I have coming up or do I really have to squeeze into my uncomfy beige ones?

Agree with the above, beige is best. But this spring I saw a young rider in Working Hunter class, in nice brown tweed jacket, grey breeches and brown boots. Very much not the done thing and I am very old school, but it looked really lovely and an eye catching colour scheme.

Today I watched a video of a chap that qualified for HOYS WH horse. His stirrup fell off. Thus the video is getting a lot of attention and making it as far as my news feed. Anyway, he too was wearing what looked like grey jods and definitely brown boots. Must an up and coming trend.

I know who you mean. Didn’t he finish 2nd, with the winner kicking his horse but retaining 1st place still and at the Great Yorkshire?

I personally don’t like brown boots but he’s been exceptionally successful with that grey over the years so they haven’t done him a jot of harm, results wise.

Sounds as if it was an exciting class to watch by all accounts.

That's the one, he does wear brown boots but his breeches aren't grey, they are a kind of buff colour.
