"10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark."

Is that typical of the breed? Next door have a cocker who is 6 months and they cannot stop it peeing on the carpet all the time...

I once saw a guy do a gundog demonstration and he used labs, springers and cockers.

He said for an easy dog to go for the lab, next easist was the springer and then if you fancied a bigger challenge to go for the cocker. Which I admit I was surprised at. I imagined the springer would be harder work.

My mum used to breed Cockers and show them and we never had any problems with house-training them. They all seemed to pick it up really quickly. Don't know about the working types though.
