For all those of a certain age who remember Follyfoot, the composer of Lightning Tree has died.
Real name Francis Essex due to contractrual complexities he had to compose it under the name Stephen Franis
RIP
All together now lalalalalalala la la Down in the Meadow where the wind blows free in the middle of the field stands the lightning tree.

When I heard it on the Ken Bruce show on Tuesday morning I burst into tears which was a bit embarassing as I was buying feed at the time, but then the same thing happens with the Black Beauty theme and White Horses.
