Just wondered if anyone had a solution for providing lighting for an arena? It's nowhere near a power supply so would nead to be solar (!) powered or battery operated. I know you usually need permission for permanent ones, but we just want to fix something up at one end of the school so we can at least to 1/2 hour a couple of times a week after work. It's nowhere near any houses or a road so will not interfere with anyone, and doesn't need to be particularly bright. Any ideas?

I asked this question earlier in the summer and a couple of others on here recommended buying the tripod work lights. Not used them yet but have a tripod with two floodlights on which I can plug in to an ordinary socket. Bit concerned about trailing the wire in the damp so have bought an inverter and car battery to run them off and I already have a battery charger.

Hopefully this will be enough for me to trot some circles in the school during the winter. I managed to get my tripod and lights for £15 from Lidl but you could try www.screwfix.co.uk look under lighting and you will see them in the sale for about £16.
