I an enjoying my Equi-Trek, although I found the lights on the back a bit disappointing as they are very small and hard to see. I had additional lights added higher up on the trailer for visibility and felt much safer out on the roads.

Now, however, two of the lights on the back have gone out, one indicator and one tail light. I've replaced the indicator bulb and still nothing. I'm not sure now, if there is a problem with the contact inside the light or with my RR's electrical connection. I will try to hook the trailer up to another vehicle and will also hook up my RR to another trailer, but does anyone have experience with the lights failing on Equi-Trek trailers? This on was new in August...

As it is only 5 months old I would contact Equitrek & ask them about it, things shouldn't be going wrong like this after this short period of time. If you've replaced the bulbs & there is still a problem then it will either be the fitting or the wiring, assuming your tow vehicle plug is wired correctly. Is there a warranty on it?

I'll check my Range Rover first to make sure it isn't a fault with my electrical. If it is the trailer, I will probably contact Equi-Trek directly. I'm sure the dealer I bought it from would make it right, but he is over four hours drive away. A local caravan place should also be able to handle the repair.

Was your trailer an Equi-Trek as well or was it something else?

It looks like it is either the connection on my towbar or that I didn't quite have everything lined up properly. The lights worked when I hooked the trailer up to another person's truck. Thanks goodness!
