Plan to do a few shows this year under saddle . So which showing class best suits ??

Isn't there a lady with a MW hunter who when the RDS brought in the age limit moved her horse to the riding horse class instead and won that as well. Personally I can's see how a MW hunter can also be a riding horse but anyway....

I think (esp at 16.3) that she would be more suited to the LW hunter class, but feel free to disagree. Could you ask the judge (if someone experienced) at the first show you get to - see what their opinion is when you are standing in front of them in the ring.

Hope she is OK after being a silly millie yesterday!!

lol!! Right, seeing as she's 16.3hh and she'll undoubtadly add condition (she looks fab now btw), she may well be a MW.

. Did try and watch some of the classes last year at balmoral, but it seems so long ago now

Thankfully the knee is fine and swelling was more or less out of it this morning, stuck her out into the field for the day and this evening she was right as rain

They always seem to be huge in teh hunter classes - wanted to do them with B but she's too ickle

so we're entering riding horse ones instead (tho she'll be the smallest one in the class lol). You could try sport horse showing classes too

Do you get Trailblazers over there? Their showing classes look fab

I enter merlin in RH or LW dependant on which class is on first

and he is 16.2...

IMO i think she would be LW! she has RH bone but looks like a LW hunter

There are more horses normally in the LW class

Id say light weight hunter as the weight is judged on the bone of the lower leg.

Id double check measurement "requirements" (dont think they are that strict but its a good guide)

Id say hunter stamp for her though and she is beautiful whichever you choose!

and if you could brave a skirt (and side saddle) I think she would look beautiful as a lady's hunter too!
