Any recommendations? Hal could do with one after the distruction of his old masta (thanks to his old loan girl putting it on her other horse, yippee). I'm a sucker for Mark Todds so will prob end up with one of those.

But before I go out spending all my imaginary money, any got any recommendations? Or even better, a 6 foot 3 lightweight turn out for sale?!

Thanks x

I'd highly recommend a Horseware Ireland rug, I have a HI lightweight turnout rug for ages, and it's still in great condition! Don't have one for sale, try Ebay maybe?

if your horse is quite wide shouldered, i wouldnt go for the fal slumberdown 40g one.

bought one for my 3/4 tb who isn't very wide, and the fit around the shoulders isnt great

I had a set of Mark Todds for my wide-shouldered Welsh Cob, having hear that they are brilliant for not rubbing, and it was fantastic. I bought one for my 15.3hh ID X TB with big angular shoulders and it does rub her a bit. In hindsight I wish I would have gone for the Amigos, she came with two of these but they were 7' (she's 6'6"!) so I had to get her new ones, but the Amigos fitted her well. My friend swears by Horsewear for her Welsh X TB, he's quite large as well.

My mare has a lovely bright pink horseware amigo and it is a fantastic lightweight is nylon inside so keeps her slightly warmer than the cotton lined fits really well and even in really heavy rain does nt leak, had a shires typhoon before that but find with the cotton lined rugs when it rains they get really cold inside and that also used to leak round the seams even from when it was brand new.
