Likelihood of BRC Horse Trials Champs at Leamington Spa being on?

Saw on the news that Leamington Spa area is flooded and the Rivers Leam and Avon have burst their banks.

I don't know the area, so does anyone know whether Offchurch just outside Leamington is underwater?

I can't see it myself, I'd heard they were walking it for PC Area this week and thats not likely and thats a week or so after the BRC finals, we are ment to do both the RC and PC event at Offchurch but seems less likey by the day, there's not been to much rain today but loads on Sat and part of sunday and weds ment to be really bad. We live 45 mins or so away

I saw some piccies of Offchurch - interested as used to be local and it was very very flooded!!

I had a look on BHS website, apparently it is going to run, it is not going to run long format now-just phases A and D!

Thanks Amy, just had a look on the website.

They must think all flood water will dissipate before the comp starts, though it's only 9 days away, so I can't see it as we're expecting more rain aren't we?

i cant see it being on, a few years ago it was fantastic weather, we had one day of rain and the water had to be removed... I think they will move the course so that you dont have to cross the river...

Which days are you up there?

We're competing Friday/Saturday, so aiming to travel up Thursday.

i am competing fri/sat too, but it only takes us 1 1/2 hours to get there, so am travelling fri morning!

It takes us at least 4hrs, so I'm knackered by the time we get there!
