For xmas i bought my monster a likit ball that hangs in her stable ....she is ussually a big fan of anything food. but she does not know how to work it ....any one else horse/pony like this .....?

I tried Tyler with the Likits and he just wasn't interested. Didnt even want them while I held it. One of hte girls at the stables has managed to teach her horse how to use it.

He has taken to the Snak-a-Balls quite well though.

No my horse attacks the ball with a passion.

He leaves bite marks in the plastic trying to get the whole likit out in once.

It really winds him up, until eventually (after 30 seconds or so) he breaks the likit in two, which then falls to the floor and is promptly munched up.

Now that's what I call breaking one's boredom????!

I got one for Cat once when he was on box rest following an accident with a barbed wire fence & he wasn't interested in it at all. Which was v odd cos normally he'd eat absolutely anything.

Last year I brought my mare a Decahedron (snack ball), she ignored it for 2 weeks (whatever the treat inside, and even after I put treats round it and showed her how to roll it). Gave it to the horse nextdoor who took 30secs to work out how to get the treats.

Neither of my girls like lickits - they love the horslyx tho. I once gave my TBx a snack ball and she managed to wedge it in a corner and scrape away at the plastic until she got the treats but she also got colic at the same time from the plastic!! Silly mare

No sorry, D can work all sorts of things, she loves her decahedron.

Have you tried holding it in your hands for them to lick to show the idea before you hang it?
