Limed fields

how long are ponies meant to stay of fields that have been limed. im getting half my fields done tomorrow and just wondered how quick before they can safetly go back on them.

We have just had ours done and the farmer said it was best to wait for 2 weeks.

the farmer that is doing mine says they can just go on it straight away but im sure i had read somewhere before you had to leave empty,especially with in foal mares.thanks
