Linament for bony growths????

My friends horse has a bony lump on his leg thats from a kick in the field. She wants to try and reduce the lump with linament of some kind. Can anyone recomend any lotions and potions that may work to reduce a bony lump please?

DMSO or Splintex... but not both! Gypsies say, rub a lemon on them... You could try comfrey oil/cream if you prefer a natural product.

Yes vet checked it, xrayed and no fractures just left with bony lump. Vet said its fine to leave and just cosmetic but my friend wants it reduced as much as poss for showing.
