Oh dont ask lol...was being too pushed by certain people and totally f**ked it up lol...well 2 poles down first round. wasnt gonna bother with second round as were 105 in class but did and that was worse lol. Pulled out after crashing over jump 4 as was no point carrying on
. Should have left Star alone, she knew what she was doing but i filddled before jumps and put her of stride
Event and time there was brill though and Star settled in perfectly. All practice for the future...
Put it down to a learning experience. Two poles down isn't bad, especially in the circumstances. That's the trouble when people try to push you and change things last minute. You'll know next time. Have the confidence to tell yourself you know your horse and ride as you feel it should be done.
Yup dont listen to anyone but myself next time hehe...but as you say was good experience and now know how Star reacts in that enviroment, like a star hehe
sounds like Lincoln was great fun.It doesn't matter that you didn't do fantastically. You still took part and enjoyed it and so did Star by the sounds of it.Like others have said you know your horse so ride the way you know works for you as a combination. My team mate that competed at the novice showjumping there also didn't do so well. She said the courses were big and the ground not too good. She had 4 faults in the first round and got dumped on her second round.
