I have a lovely PRB lorry and the horse area is lined with a sort of plastic coated plywood.

One bad horse kicks the box only when in season, typical mare!

I want to line the horse area with something more robust.

What are the alternatives?

Can you post links with pics please.

Ideally want something light in colour and weight as internally the box is pale grey and really light and airy.

Does anyone know what the stuff is that Equicruiser use? It is mid grey with little flecks in.

we use EVA wall matting- lightweight - one sheet can be lifed even by me !! with one hand and its shock absorbent too - black in colour - stock board is ok but its heavy and buckles in the heat. let me know if u need any more info

EVA is the material, Equimats are a brand of it. I think you can now get a special mat in EVA for boxes/stable walls which is about half the thickness and stiffer. The guy building my box is using it so will ask.

Couldn't you use a sheet of the aluminium 5 bar checker plate to do the job ? Lightweight and incredibly tough.

the prob with 5 bar chequer plate is that 1)it looks scruffy after a while - you will get rust stains etc on it 2) it can damage the hock area when travelling if you dont have adequate protection on legs as the 5 bar is not a nice smooth surface 3) if -like my mare- your horse likes to make a noise - the reverberrations from metal on metal are horrendous and 4) it is quite difficlt to fit flush you will get sharp edges.

We use hartford commercial for EVA - tel:0161 654 4354 - ask for Andrew he will dispatch out to you.

We got equimat wall mats for the sides of the horse area in our wagon. Comes in green or black - sorry can't create a link as not technically minded.

Prior to that we lined it with chequer plate effect lino type cushion flooring stuff that you can do the kitchen or bathroom. It was cushioned, not heavy and washed down a treat.

I think she does like to make a noise as she isn't repeatedly hammering away at the box, it's only when she travels alone and is in season. I think she is just letting us know she is grumpy.

Thanks for the number i will have a look.

Do you just line up to 4ft?
