Lansons linseed lozenges! @£13 for a 20kg bag they sound like good value but couldn't open their email regarding the nutritional analysis for some reason.
If you google I'Ansons it should come up witht heir site.
Another vote for Charnwood. I get my linseed and brewers yeast from them - cheaper than anyone else I have found. They will courier to you and even with that charge, it is still cheap.
For my big beasts I get 3 x 25 k of linseed and 1 x 25 k of BY which does me about 6 months of linseed and a year of BY use.
I have used the lozenges before and years ago did the boiling bit. For me, the instant meal linseed is very quick and easy to use.

Have had linseed from them but do they do all their feedstuffs by courier? Don't recall seeing brewers yeast on there!
Just call them - they do brewers yeast but not yet on website. Again very cheap though you do have to get 25k which for me is not a problem. Their price for BOSS is good too. Their apple rings go down very well.
I used to use Simple Systems but swapped to the L'Ansons linseed lozenges as they are much cheaper and easier for me to get hold of. Does anyone know what the impact is of the added glucose?
The downside of the L'Anson Lozenges is that the oil content doesn't compare to the Charnwood or SS one.
The reason they can stick it together in lozenges is because the oil % is lower, you couldn't make anything solid from Charnwoods without adding a binder, hence it is in a powder form.
If all you need is protein then the protein content is similar I believe.
The lozenges are made after the oil has been extracted so thats why they are lower in oil. Pootler - Glucose isnt great for ponies or laminitics. The bag just says 0 to 10% inclusion, i have tried to find out exactly how much as theres a big difference between 0 and 10% but they havnt got back to me!
Charnwoods compares quite well to Lansons then. I also balked at the added glucose as my older horse is laminitis prone and you'd have to feed a fair amount to get the oil, in fact it doesn't contain as much as some mixes!
So, have just ordered another bag of Charnwoods, how much do people tend to feed? I've just kept using a mug full a day but when I weighed that properly it was only 160g. I'm adding it in place of oil by the way and to get the omega 3,6 etc.
Well Chancer weighs about 500 k and he gets 1/4 pint mug twice a day in winter and this can nearly double in summer if he needs a bit more weight and gloss. Farra is more like 700 k and she gets the same.
I used to give it to Cairo for his old joints and it really did help his stiffness.
For coat condition you don't need very much - 100ml of gold label's is recommended per day (suspect its the same). So thats two little provided scoops that look like your standard medicine measuring cap provided with human cough mixture!
So a mug full is a lot, and would be for extra benefit of oil, rather than just coat shine.
