Linseed meal? How much to feed?

Anyone use micronised full fat linseed meal?

And how much per day added to a balanced diet to improve coat condition?

And does it 'go off'? I've got a 25Kg sack and think it's going to last a VERY long time. How long will it keep, if I keep it cool and dry?
