I am being a worry guts now, i know and i'm sorry.

I posted some pics the other day about Max's condition (or lack of)
He has Linseed in his evening feed. I know you can feed large quantities of soya oil, but wondered how much of the Linseed to give him.
I read somewhere that it shouldn't be fed every day, but can't remember where. If so why is this??

How much and how often is right??

I have heard from several different sources that you have to be careful how much linseed oil you feed, whereas other oils such as soya you can feed in larger quantities to aid condition. However, I've never been able to find out whether this is really true or what the reasons behind it are. Perhaps you could try ringing the manufacturer to ascertain what is the maximum amount that is safe to feed.

I've just sent you an email, then i spotted your post!

Merlin gets one tablespoon of linseed oil in his feed per day. This is the 'dosage' on the canister it comes in. I was advised by a previous YO to put him on linseed oil, as his coat and skin were a bit iffy a couple of years ago. He's been on it since, and as well a giving him a but more 'oomph' in the power dept,. which he needs when he's in harness, his coat and skin are miles better now....
