I’m really confused between linseed oil vs micronised linseed. Which is more calorific? Or is it the same?
Wanting to add condition on my boy who is currently having ulcer treatment (gastroguard) I’ve changed his diet and he’s having as much hay as he can eat…has put on weight but he needs to be on high protein and high linseed oil according to the vet. Think the protein bit is covered now, he’s on spillers Ulca balancer with lots of mollichaff (went off the alfalfa he wouldn’t touch it) and I already had him on omega rice which has linseed in it but only about 40%, the rest is rice bran… so once he bag is finished I’ll probably switch to micronised linseed…
Is there any merit to adding linseed oil to the existing feed? Or I could add the linseed in addition? I am so confused!
