Can any local peeps give me an idea of type of livery and prices in and around the Linton area, and i guess around 30 mile radius of it.

Also, which area's to avoid?

OH has an interview for a company there next week

well, depends on what you do with your horse, and the type of livery you are seeking.

the area does have all sorts of yards at varying costs. grass starts at £10 per week, and full livery is £130 plus

if you ride during the winter/shooting season, you definitely need to ask about the impact to each yard.

where are you based - neighbour!!!

We are just happy hackers going to local shows.

I need DIY with a good school, plenty of off road hacking and all year turnout, though i don't mind if they have to come in at night in winter. Not too big either, and I don't mind if its a farm setting.

Must also be child friendly, as we have a kids pony.

There are loads at Great Abington on the land settlement, all different types, think there is a yard in Linton just off dual carriageway, if you want to go a little further there is one just outside Withersfield which is good and one in Horseheath although not sure if she does livery.

Yonks ago I kept my pony in Withersfield and you could get a pass to ride on Vestey estate land - we hardly did any roadwork. Hopefully that's still the case. Further towards Cambridge the hacking does get much worse

Liveries at the Withersfield yard I know have passess to ride round Vesty estate and the hacking is brill, no road work. If you are interested in this pm me and I will send you her phone number, she also has an all weather arena.

There is also Barnley EC which is about 10 - 15 mins from Linton, two arenas good hacking around their own land, not sure what livery is available but I think it is mainly DIY.
