Sorry not a nice subject but am at a total loss!!

I have had my Welsh sec D gelding for a year now. This winter I have noticed that every time its snowy or frosty he is having liquid gas, has been going on since the first lot of snow in November.

He seems well in himself, and his poo is normal and very regular, it's just not very nice as every time he trumps it all comes out as brown liquid and covers the back of his legs.
I had the vet out just before xmas for bloods and a check up and everything was normal apart from him being slightly anemic which he is being treated for, but other than that the vet couldn't explain it. He is also upto date with worming etc.

Has anyone got any ideas of what this could be?

Any help would be very much appreciated, or if you need any more info please let me know
Thanks

honestly, nearly every horse at our yard has been like this over winter lol! But seriously, mine has been terrible, not so bad now but when they were snowed in it was awful. I have put it down to all the haylage and lack of grass being fed. Think it may be a slight acid imbalance. One of ours actually collicked and the vet said there was alot of it around (a month or so ago) my horse has been on gold label biotal supplement (probiotic) everyday over the winter and i have been feeding her chaff with it so she gets a decent amount of fibre (which is missed out on when there is no grass) our horses all seem to be getting better now that they are getting back out again.
