As most of you know I've considered buying some rubber matting, I heard from someone at my yard that you can buy liquid rubber matting, you just pour it on and wait for it to dry into a rubber mat. Is this true? Is it cheaper than buying a mat? Is it better than a mat?

Thank you!

I have it in my trailer. I did it myself. I didn't like it when I had done it, it wasn't what I was expecting at all. You need to people to do it really and there was only me so I rushed. The finished product is not smooth rubber as I thought but granulated. You'd have to work alot harder than me to get a better finish as i'm told I didin't roll it enough. But having said that I am now very happy with it as it does its job and the horses don't slip as its not smooth like a mat.

if you ring them i'm sure they'd be happy to advise you and they also do a service were they will come and do it for you.

it is harder than rubber matting, i believe.
i use mayomats, which are more like foam than rubber - they are hoof-proof (no damage at all), lighter to move around, thicker, and much warmer (insulating horse from cold concrete.) i won't bother with rubber mats again, these are much better.

kerilli ive been looking at the mayo mats. how long have you had them and have you found they've gone a bit flat or are you really pleased with them . also are they easy to lay and keep the stables clean with. many thanks
