Liri's operation is over

Liri has had the metalwork taken out of her jaw, and the fracture appears to be stable thank god. Down side is osteomyelitis had set in (jaw bone infection). The surgeon scraped all the soft infected bone away, back to hard non infected bone, so just got to keep our fingers crossed now. The surgeon was positive, but I've been googling bone infections too much and scared myself silly. Anyway, hopefully she will be home on Friday, and then have antibiotics and follow up x-rays to make sure the infection hasn't come back. I'm not putting her through any more after this though, she's been through enough, 2 ga's in less than 2 months, poor girlie. Thank you all for your support, especially The_Stropster, Bellaboo and old_git.

Oh bless her, glad she came through the op ok and that the fracture is stable. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a speedy and uneventful recovery for her.

Glad she came through ok and the surgeon is being positive.....now do yourself a favour and STOP Googling!
