list of essentials for a new horse!

As it is the horse buying season! I thought it would be good to start a list of things you need to buy before the horse arrives!
So far I have
Head collar in correct size
Lead rope
Travel gear
Buckets
Goomimg kit
Feed
What would you add?

For DIY:

For horse:
Haynets (multiple)
More feed buckets
Water bucket
Tie rings
Bedding
Lunge rein

I hope your new horse comes with tack and a wardrobe, else you'll spend every last penny on these.

Bridle, unless its coming with one, but if you have a bridle then you can at least hop on bareback untill you get a saddle fitted.
Basic grooming kit
Haynets (unless fed from the floor)

Well for the stable you will need:
wheel barrow
shovel
pithch fork or shaving fork
Brush
Big water bucket and smaller ones for topping up
Feed bucket
Hay net and a few for spare

For the horse:
Headcollar and lead rope
Saddle
Bridle
Girth
stirrups
Saddle pad
lundge rein
lunging whip
Grooming kit
Fly spray, Sudocrem, Shampoo, Detangle Spray, Sun Screen (if he has a pink nose), Hoof Oil sponges and a towel.
First Aid Kit (A horse one lol Just incase)
Rugs

And for you...
Just you riding stuff

Ohh you might also need bedding and hay/hayledge and feed, maybe some treats to so he learns to trust you and gets to know who you are
