List of local dog wardens

Why have some got tons and some just a few? Second the Croydon ones being ok- some will seek rescue places for dogs on death row.

Yes, I agree, they really are there for the dogs, not just because it's a job, Tony, one of the croydon dog wardens gave me my Barney to foster as he was on death row, we ended up keeping him, Barney that is, we didn't keep the warden!

I don't want to put a dampener on things as I agree this is a great idea, but the number given on that link for our local dog warden no longer exists as it is for North Shropshire council which was merged into Shropshire Council a few years ago.
To contact our warden you now have to go through the council switchboard which takes forever, last time I called them about 2 dogs that were running around on a very busy A road (had tried to catch them myself without success) and I got so frustrated while someone asked me a million totally irrelevant questions!

Yeh I agree, wasn't trying to be picky, at one time our dog wardens mobile number was listed on the council page in the phone book, but now its just the damn council switchboard.
