Hey guys, only a week to go before pony camp for me and Star! Looking forward to it so much and have decided to try & get everything ready in advance rather than leave til that morning (DEFINITELY not what happened last year :o) So have lost the list of what I took last year and I am turning to you guys in hope that I won't forget anything this year for my beasty!;) Any items that you would definitely reccomend I take or even lists would be sooo helpful! It's for a week. Thanks!:)

For pony:

Saddle
Bridle
2/3 numnahs.
Boots/ bandages.
Grooming kit.
Hoof pick.
Hoof oil & brush.
Feed (split into bags for each day).
Rain sheet.
Fleece.
Simple first aid - wound powder etc.
Carrots :)

For you:

Lots of jodhpurs!
Hoodies, t-shirts etc.
Lots of knickers/socks.
Pjamas.
Riding hat.
Gloves.
Riding boots.
Sleeping bag & camp bed.
Pony club ensamble - tie, sweatshirt etc.
Towel.

Depending on whether you have a competition at the end, show gear. Plaiting bands, horse shampoo etc.

Have fun :)

Spare numnahs and girth - if riding twice a day they can get manky! Don't forget a torch for night time if you're camping and if you're in a tent take an extra duvet/sleeping bag - it can get mighty chilly!

I'd add on top of all that, to take a neck strap and a martingale. Mostly in case pony decides to be a tit :p

Ok im a little older than PC members but I go everywhere with a lunge line...can be used for everything : Aside from the obvious, I've loaded someone's horse with it, ive also tied a partition together after it broke mid journey, doubles up as a spare lead rope etc....,

Not a proper pony club camp, but just came back from taking my horse on holiday to see my friend for a few days. I stayed at her house, and he stayed on a livery yard with hay and tools provided...

Me:
hat (plus my old spare just in case)
gloves
boots & gaiters
sports bras
t-shirts
breeches (1 per day)
riding socks
normal overnight stuff
camera & assorted chargers

Stable:
haynets
water bucket
hay tub/bucket
shavings
grooming box
fly spray
fly mask
fleece/waffle
turnout
feed buckets
bagged up feeds (labelled am/pm)
treats

Tack/Riding:
headcollar/leadrope & spare
lunge line
flat bridle
hacking bridle
saddle
girth
tendon boots
brushing boots
over reach boots
bandages
saddlecloth (1x per day)
hi-viz for me & horse
travel gear
schooling whip
body protector
mounting step

Think that was it :)

Also took plenty of Ikea & bin bags for carrying stuff or storing icky sweaty stuff.

Name everything you can with permanent marker!

Most importantly - don't forget the horse :D and have fun :D

Oooooh this thread is really useful - I'm off to jump camp in a few weeks which will be our first trip staying away and I never did the whole pony club thing.

I'd take a first aid kit too.

yep, that would be useful although the amount of times I usually fall off maybe I ought to just forget him & see if I can borrow a pony that behaves like less of a twit;)

what should I take in the way of a basic first aid kit-
add the items pls!
-torch
-cotton wool
-derma gel
-sudo creme
-blister plasters for me:D
-Horseware Leucillin First Aid Antibacterial Healing Spray

Thanks xx
